Meryl Streep in Lanvin
Meryl can do no wrong in my eyes.... unless it has to do with the red carpet. Sleeves are fab for a woman of her age, but all that sad gold cloth? It looks like she stole some curtains from Versailles and just belted it around herself. Meryl, I love you, but you are no Scarlet O'Hara.

SAG Awards 2012: Tilda Swinton
Tilda Swinton in Lanvin
Oh, Tilda. What has become of you? This dress is positively... boring. Not what I've come to expect from you.

Golden Globes 2012: Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman in Lanvin
This is like a hot pink version of her pink maternity sack she wore to the Oscars. Snore! her hair and makeup are quite yummy, though.

I have a serious girl-crush on Emma Stone. And my crush rewarded my devotion with a stunning gown from Lanvin. Love the cap sleeves. Love the unusual colors. Love the bold belt. Love the dramatic eye. I am in love.A+

Shopping In Paris - Oo La La
One of the things I was oh so excited about on our trip to Paris was not the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower, but the shopping. Oh the shopping! Every corner we turned was another fabulous store. We ran across three Chanels in one day. THREE.
We perused the displays at Moschino.
2) Louis Vuitton
And while it isn't exactly my thing, I guess I can see the draw of this ginormous Louis Vuitton store. I was only slightly tempted to yell at the people "Why are you waiting in line for this???!"
ABERCROMBIE & FITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Paris Abercrombie had guards and a LINE. A LINE. It was so ridiculous. I didn't understand. At all.
But in non-ridiculous store news, we did make a stop at the tres adorable baby store Petite Bateau. BabyWP needed a Paris present (as did some other babies we know).
Now that we've done baby shopping, can we do me? Pretty please? We made a stop in Missoni, and I really must say that it is just NOT for me. It's all so loud, and while I am for bold and vibrant, I'm not for Missoni's version of bold and vibrant. Their Target line was tame in comparison. [fyi, I was not a fan of the Target line because I thought it was too busy] But a plus for them - their sales staff was SO NICE. Ridiculously nice and fawny over us.
I was oddly excited about going to Bottega Veneta. What can I say, I love shoes.
Especially if they're this pretty.
From there we hopped into Lanvin. Mr. EWP seemed to think all designers were the same, but he got over that idea when we went into Lanvin and a plain black skirt cost $2500. Not all designers are created equal.
Mr. EWP's only store request was Hermes, where we discovered they sold horse bridles and riding gear. Who knew?
I don't like these shoes, but I thought they way Tod's arranged them was pretty so I took a picture.
As for me, I made a beeline to Yves Saint Laurent.
What did I buy? Well that shall remain a mystery... until my post on my Parisian purchases.

this week in iphone pics
Pineapple upside-down cake I made for my mom on mother's day:
Pretty pink manicure:
Mushy and dumb convo with my boyfriend:
My cat, Dita, using me as a bed:
And I must share with you my Friday morning OBSESSION.
Some of you may know my utter adoration of Joshua Jackson. He is my number one celeb crush. How ridiculously awesome does he and his gf, Diane Kruger, look at the Sleeping Beauty premiere at Cannes?
I'm in love with him and in love with them. Sigh.
Diane Kruger in Calvin Klein and Joshua Jackson in Lanvin tuxedo.

That is all. Happy weekend!

Golden Globes 2011: Julianne Moore
Julianne Moore in Lanvin
I think Julianne Moore is a gorgeous woman. Seriously beautiful. Love her hair and alabaster skin. And I understand that that particular combination is a bit hard to dress, but she usually does it very well. I especially love her in emeralds. And, honestly, I could've gotten on board with this bright pink, but this dress, wow, what a mess. Let's start with the one sleeve. The one GIANT PUFFY sleeve. Why does it exist? Why is it there? Subtract the sleeve and just have that pretty gold collar across, and it would be nice. And then there's the bottom which seems all crumply and confused. If only these people would let me dress them. We would've done something spectacular.
